Could you guys give me an idea on how to play with my Axolotls?

I mean having them try to catch my finger

still not a great idea, the oils in your skin can be harmful to them. best to keep your hands out of the tank unless they need to be there

Can I do any activity with my lotl’s with my hand like… out of the tank?

Put I’ve pet axie before w/ my finger when he was going into his own tank for the very first time

i frequently play chase with mine, i walk back and forth in front of the tank and she chases me.

infrequent touches are fine, but please hold off on trying to pet them. you should only touch them when necessary

Sooo petting them every 6 months is okay?

although axolotls are salamanders because they dwell in water they must be treated the same way as fish, look but don't touch, their skin and their size make them very delicate animals.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
