Hey Folks,
I thought some of you might enjoy some photos taken in may this year. These were taken on the east side of the Sierra Nevada in California. For those not familiar with this area, the east side is a dry, harsh environment. This makes it particularly exciting to find salamanders in fast, cold streams there.
First, here's a Hydromantes platycephalus we found:
