I have discovered there are many little Hydras living in my tank of larvae. I didn't realise what they were at first (I thought they were algae) until I noticed one catching and trapping a daphne I was feeding to the axolotls. Will the Hydras harm the larvae? Can they sting them?

I've never had to deal with these but after looking up on them, I think it's safe to say to get rid of them, and fast. If it's a small amount you can wipe them up. If it's more large scale you'll want to remove the babies and clean the tank and decor or heat the tank to 104 and boil them off. Pond snails or snails in general like to eat them, but I have no experience with this.

Yea...went to google hydras...ended up spending an hour reading wikipedia and ending on the HeLa cell page...<_<

Hydra are harmless to axies, but if they are depriving your axies of food just wipe them away.
