I got my C.O's about...oh...a year and a half ago, and today marks the special day of one of their first babies to morph into a juvie. It amazing how tiny these guys are. But it's still got one sibling thats bigger than him, who is still a tadpole. I named the big tadpole King. He's always been twice as big as the others for some reason. But my juvie is so cute!

It likes to climb, so I gave it a rock to climb on and it's not eating, but it just morphed today so I'm not worried. Though, its belly is yellow. He's not, ya know, lacking any vitamin or mineral he didn't get from frozen bloodworms is he? I'd hate to have a malnutritioned newt. But anyway the cute little guy should be going to a nice home today. It was funny seeing my parents' expressions when I called the baby "cute". Haha, my parents think these guys are gross. But I just love 'em!

Congrats on the first morph! They sure are cute little things. I think the yellow belly is probably normal and if you feed good foods it should darken to orange in a month or so(from what I can remember).

Better get a terrestrial setup ready to go

Hi Elizabeth!

It is so exciting to experience your first morph!
And yes, they are CUTE! By the way, the yellow belly is normal for C.o. morphs. Their bellies turn orange/red later on. I feed my C.o. bloodworms also, and they are all healthy. Congrats!

Well, I'm not keeping it unfortunetley. I'm only keeping what I can't give away. I've got three friends who want morphs, and I told them about terrestrial set-ups, and such. But for now, this guy is pretty mellow. It climbs rarely, and spends most of its time in the corner of its tank or under a rock. It's got his own, large floating island to itself, which, at the moment isn't floating. Its cupped to the wall, with rocks in the tank slowly making an ascent to it, so tadpoles can just walk onto the island. And for now it seems pretty mellow, but pretty happy. I'm looking forward to feeding it again, since right now, it has no intrest in its yummy favorite food. Its kinda funny how these guys gobble bloodworms like crazy when their tadpoles, but dont even wanna sniff them when morphed. x3
