Hungry mummy.....

hello there- anyone elses new mummy axies have a big apetite? our young mum axie has just laid eggs- she was barely eating for a few weeks before this- although i didn't know why- now she seems ravenous and is at the tank looking at me all day! i have started feeding her every day again- she is about 9 months old so i suppose that it ok?

Our did the same thing, she would not eat since we got her (two weeks ago) She showed me she was hungry by eating some eggs,which was awful!

I fed her twice yesterday, and again today, ox heart, she is really hungry!

You'd be hungry too if you just gave birth to hundreds of babies!

Mum's axolotl, Alex, did the same thing last night. Ate the ones that was trailing off her foot.

i wonder if the mummy's need special nourishment post egg laying??

Prob'ly not.
But the strangest thing was... Kuro Ryu (the father) didn't want to eat the next day after Alex spawned. But Alex did eat the worms I gave her.
