http://www.caudata.com/forum/ not working

I think that caudata.com was only temporary, .org is perminent. I'm sure John will have a thread regarding this soon.
 
Speaking of not working, are only some people able to use avatars? I've seen some but I don't seem to be able to put one up.
 
Just come onto the .org as could not get on .com and i had to re enter my name again, but there is a button above the text of a repile missing ???
 
Yes I just changed this. Don't use .com. If you use .org and it doesn't remember your user/password, clear your cookies and try again. The image thing I'm about to try to fix. Thanks.
 
Icons?

John the icons all over the forum don't seem to be working for me, is this happening with everyone else? No biggy its just kind of annoying.
 
Clear your cache, cookies and temporary files. Then completely quit your browser and restart. Go to http://www.caudata.org and see if you can log in.
 
Has this problem been resolved?
 
I can see the pics here now, so the problem solved :D
 
Ok good. I had to manually reset icon paths because the forum was setup on caudata.com for resting before you guys got here, and when I changed it to caudata.org the icons still believed they were on caudata.com.
 
What do you mean can't get? They don't load or you can't choose one? If it's the latter, that's because there aren't any here you can choose.
 
Should have been more clear...

What I mean is when I'm in my "edit avatar" I can't unclick the tab that says "Do not use an avatar" and I can't figure out how to upload a picture to it because there isn't anything that says upload or brows (as in looking through my files to pick a picture to use). Is this more clear? I'd sure love to have my old avatar back.
 
It's not broken - it means it'll use an avatar if you've set one. You can't set one though - only donors, site contributors and moderators can upload custom avatars currently.
 
I should also add, later today I'll be updating the donations page to list the perks donors have now on the forum. They have extra file space, can upload _larger_ photos, avatars and profile photos
and they can upload photos to the Caudata.org User Photos Gallery.

I guess I'll have to donate soon, all the best stuff is reserved for them, thanks for letting me know John.
 
Well apart from the photo gallery and the avatars, you'd be hard pushed to find the differences unless you were able to try both types of account.

    Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
