Question: How to minimize water disturbance from canister

I just hooked up a fluval 306 canister to my 65g but it only came with one type of nozzle for the return hose which jets the water into the tank at high velocity. I throttled the filter back to 50% flow rate which is pretty reasonable but I'm wondering if I should be dispersing the outflow more and how? Thanks.
