Hey everyone, I had my axolotl for almost six years and today he passed away, he stopped eating and his mouth was completly swollen, I'm posting this to help anyone that may have the same problem. I saw another post that helps you with the same but this way is less stressfull and harmful.

First, grab your axolotl and put him into a smaller recipient with enough water and space, mine was short but he was fully extended. Then put some flake food for fish, In my case that was the best option, but probably, this will work with any other food that can float on water. Make sure the water is just a little more higher than his head, so he can notice anything floating around. I did this everyday and made him stay for 2-4 hours in total, he ate a lot of flakes. this didn't reactivate my axolotl appetite but hopefully it does with yours, at least it keeped him on his weight and he started pooping again. I hope this helps someone and I'm sorry if I misspelled anything. I'm leaving this forum soon but I'll stay a few days more to answer any doubt. Cheers.

I'll leave some photos for an example of what I did.
