How to Feed?

Ok i got my newts a few days ago, they are chinese firebellies, and i have been putting the food into te water, but the filter usually sucks most of it up - How should i feed them? im feeding them thawedbloodworm.
Also, how often should i feed them? i have two, in a 24"x8"x8" tank.

If your filter is moving the water so rapidly that it sucks up bloodworms, I would venture a guess that you simply have the wrong filter for newts. CFB do not like a significant current in their water.

I would recommend feeding newly-acquired newts every day, then taper off to fewer feedings once they are well-established.
