How to best collect eggs?

From the looks of things, I have some newt eggs attached to some of the plants in my tank. They're not rolled up in the leafs, but deposited along the stems of a vine and in the roots of wisteria.

What is the best way to collect them without damaging them? I'm terribly excited about this :D

most eggs laid singularly in the early stages are hard enough that you can pop them off -use like the back of the spoon or a dull knife, you can also just cut out the leaves they are laid on.

Or take the plant out if there are a reasonable amount on it. After the eggs hatched you can replace the plant.

What species are we talking about?

Good luck Ken

They're C.o eggs. Can't really take the plant out as it's a main feature of my tank and all the other plants have interwoven their roots and leaves with it. I'll give Paris' suggestion a shot and hopefully have some sweet little ones soon! :D

It turns out they may or may not be C.o eggs. My adf's have been going at it like crazy for days and today I saw her shooting eggs out. The ADF eggs are brown/black though, and the ones I believe to be C.o eggs have a yellow/green tinge to them at the moment. I'm not sure if they're just more developed adf eggs or not...guess time will tell. Either way there's a lot of lovin goin on in my tank

The eggs you describe do not seem to be C.o. eggs. C.o. eggs have a brown/blackish half and a white half.
