I bought some Axolotls for the first time about a month or so ago and they have already laid eggs.
The eggs have now hatched and I need to know how long do the babies need looking after before I can give them away to the pet shop and friends and family? Also what is the best way to transport Axolotls when travelling long distances.

Also the mother was a wild type Axolotl - the father was either a gold albino, albino or black wild type (i think) - what chances are there of getting albino babies? What age do they show their colours??

Thanks

I would say it depends on when the axies start feeding on blackworms and small earthworms. At that stage they are easier to feed and care for.

i agree. hatching brine shrimp is too much work for ordinary people

You'll be able to tell which ones are albinos with their white eyes as opposed to coloured ones. It's going to be a long time until they're able to be given away to shops and such, a few months perhaps.
