I have three axolotls and all are now big enough to sex and I have 2 males and a female. First is there going to be an issue with the males fighting for dominance of the tank? Also how soon could I expect to see possible breeding?

Breedings best done after they've sexually matured. A sign of this is the tips of their toes go a darker color (black/brown). Mine sexually matured around the 18 month-2 years old mark.

How old is your female?

I am not totally sure of age I was never told I have had them for a month and they are around 5 inches now.

Ok, I know mine are not that old now so I won't need to worry about breeding for a while then.

Thanks!

Females shouldn't be breed until they're atleast one year old because of the stress they go through while laying the eggs. My females were sexually mature at about 9 months and my two males were around 7-8 months.

Oh yea thought I better add mine matured incredibly late! I rehomed them from somewhere they weren't receiving the best care - I feel it had a knock on effect. They usually mature in the months coming up to being a year old.
