How often does the Axolotls poop?

Hey guys! I was wondering how often should my Axolotl poop? He’s about 17cm and is eating normally. Do you have any advices about that?

Haha I'm glad you asked because mines a bit smaller than yours and he poos pretty much daily and if I'm really lucky, twice ugh. Some people report that their adults go about twice a week but I would think thats because they are eating much less frequently.

Ooooh this much? Mine is not pooping for about three days and I’m starting to worry about it... I’m also not sure if I’m giving him food enough or maybe too much... I have so many questions I usually give him a big earthworm and then the next day nothing... he (that’s actually might be a she) looks pretty healthy, and I really hope it is! Hehe any tips, I would be glad to read.

My axolotl used to poop daily, a few hours after I fed him. If you don't notice your axolotl passing waste, it could be for several reasons:
-It might have broken down and sunk into the substrate. The best way to negate this is by stirring up the substrate during tank cleaning so you can suck up any little poop particles that settled in.
-The axolotl might have eaten it. Gross, I know, but that's nature, and axolotls are just little animals.
-There could be impaction; unlikely, but possible. Depending on the morph, and the size and color of the substrate, this may be visible from the outside.
