My axolotls laid approx 150 eggs on New Years Eve, and so far so good, I have about about 60 hatchlings that hatched beginning on the 11th and are eating etc. Last night, the 16th she laid another 50 or so eggs. This is the first time I have raised eggs and I am wondering how often they will lay them? I know frequent breeding is not good for her and I plan to set up another tank to separate them which is a shame because they share a 92 gallon that they seem to really enjoy.
Thanks.

Text book says every 2-3 weeks in the right conditions and if your axies are in good condition, I would separate the prevent your female becoming exhausted.

Penny laid 3 clutches consisting of around 1300 eggs in total in about 40 days.
