How much would you pay?

Hi everyone, just wondering, how much would you pay for a 4 ft tank stand?

If said stand was home-made from pine but a quality build?

Was attractively finished with shellac? Or not finished- only well sanded and ready for painting?

Also if it was posted on ebay? If that changes things at all?

Homemade, maybe $30US, unless it is a nice professional looking stand. But unless the person was experienced at making tank stands, I would be worried about it being sturdy enough to hold weight.

I always look on ebay at the 'pick up only' option. Often you'll find someone desperate to get rid of something big like that if you live close enough to collect it. I paid £40 for a 2 ft tank complete with a sturdy (but rather ugly) steel tank stand. But if you're after something a little nicer, mayber around the £40-£50 mark??
