I am in the process of rearing 317 so far....they are just over 3 weeks old and seem to be doing great so far. Apparently I didn't keep El Zorro and Mama separated long enough though, because I also have a new clutch of eggs due on the 22nd!!!!!!!
Those two are cut off for a while...this baby stuff is a lot of work! But, Oh My Heavens, those babies are about the cutest things I have ever seen. How do you let them go??

I raised part of Yoshi's first batch which was 250+. That's the batch that my Gemma came from

However, since then, I try not to raise more than 50 at a time because I have limited space and time! It is fun though! I love seeing them grow into little individuals.

Initially bare tubs, light aeration, elodea if feeding daphnia, no plants with brine shrimp. High percentage daily water changes, couple hundred larvae per tub.

How do you guys sell/home all of the babies?? This is something I'm concerned about if I ever breed my axolotls. Do you have local shops that you trust the juveniles with? Lots of online sales?

This is definitely something to consider before raising them up. Breeders who raise hundreds and thousands at a time, usually sell both wholesale and retail. Online sales, local shops, local sales. Some breeders use the culls/extras as feeders if necessary.
