How many FBN's can I keep in a 30 gallon?

I'm going to get a used 30 gallon tank from someone, and plan to make a simple set up for fire bellied newts. I'll just put gravel for the bottom, some rocks, a land area, and a few bunches of anacharis floating on top, and a filter. It will be filled about half way or maybe more. I was thinking 4 or 5 newts. Is that too much, or more can be accomodated?

By FBN, I assume you mean Cynops orientalis? Pet shops sometimes sell larger newts (warties or paddletails) as "firebellies" so be sure about what you are getting. Yes, 4 or 5 C. orientalis would be just fine. You could even put a couple of more without crowding, assuming you aren't planning on any other animals.

Yeah, they are orientalis because I checked and they looked just like them.
