How many axolotls in a 39 inch tank?

I'm sure the info is here somewhere but cant find it!!
I have just bought a 39 inch tank how many fully grown axolotls can i keep 2? 3?

You could probably go with 3. It depends on how deep and wide the tank is too. If it's extra-wide, you can fit more. That is, the standard tank (in the US anyway) is 12 inches wide. If it's 18 inches wide (or more), you may be able to fit more.

I agree with Kaysie

You should be able to house 3 in a tank that size but you would likely need to have a depth of water and plenty of hides.
