How long do brine shrimp eggs last??

I have a bunch of brine shrimp eggs from last year and I cannot get them to hatch for anything... I NEVER had a problem last year.. Could they be bad?? I thought these things lasted forever

I dont know the answer but I want to know. Hope we both find out.

Is it possible they got damp? That really shortens the life span. Sealed containers of them can last for years, but they can go 'off' in months once opened. I remember experimenting with some aged ones I found in a cupboard as a teenager.

No theyve never been damped but have been opened. I used them last year around this time.. But seems I cant get them to hatch for nothing.. Im on my 2nd try with them and still nothing..
