I have two female axolotls in a large tank and am considering adding one maybe two males.I raised the two female and so the whole introduction process is a mystery to me . Am i taking any ricks or is there is a recommended way i should introduce them?

Am not worried about the size of the tank size its more about the behavior or reaction to each other ,r health problems i should worry about e.g i know that over breeding is an issue so i will be dividing the tank.

You have to make sure all the axies are about the same size (5 cm difference max). And quarantine the new ones at least a couple of weeks or a month before adding them to he tank. If anything looks wrong with them during that time, don't put them in unless you're sure it's nothing that could harm the other ones. After you put the new ones in the tank keep an eye on them in case of any nipping etc. and be ready to separate if something bad happens.

Also don't add both males in at once unless you prepare the tank before. You are doubling the bio load so you need to build up the filters bacteria a little more to handle two more axolotls. It won't take as long as cycling the tank but maybe add them in a week apart.

Also don't worry if the males go crazy wiggling on each other once they're both in the same place. I've had my Mulder in a tank with his dad, and with my new boy Turanga. Both times there was wild sex despite the, uh, incompatibility. They settled down in a few days both times.
