Hey everyone, Just picked up two axolotls the other day at one of the pet shops close to us. We have been looking for them for months, and in passing conversation the owner of the shop mentioned he had two in the back that had been promised to someone that never bothered to come back and collect them. He didn't
know anything about them and they were in a small tank, about 30 litres, the water was pretty dirty, at this point I just wanted to rescue them on a humane basis and we had just upgraded one of our fish tanks so we had a spare 100 litre tank at home, we were discussing it for a while and then we saw their adorable little faces peeking out... we couldn't leave them there could we?
So falcor and toothless (if anybody has ever seen "how to train your dragon" you'll know the resemblence is uncanny!) are now a part of our 3 tank brood. We just love watching their clumsy antics.
Here's toothless (we haven't gotten around to sexing them but if anyone can offer an opinion it would be great)
Falcor is a cave dweller at the moment, we built caves from sterilised beach rocks along the back of the tank he(/she) just loves exploring every nook and cranny so here's the best I can do at the moment!
