So i plan on setting up a unit where i am able to confine my many tanks in one place. The hallway i am going to use is a hallway in my basement where no one ever accept maybe a few times a year. Problem is there is no duck work in that hall so the temperature in the winter can go as low as 7 C. The hallway is always colder then the house even in the summer when my house sits at 73 F on the main floor and 69 F in the basement. It wont be a problem in the summer, im worried about the winter being to cold.

That's fine I would say, unless it fluctuates too quickly. Make sure its a steady decrease/increase from day time temperatures to night time temperatures, just to be safe.

Most amphibians handle the cold quite well ( ever heard of the freezing frogs? :p ), your axolotls should be fine. And if your really concerned about them being to cold you could always invest in a heater, or just use a small space heater.
All in all, I would say your axolotls will be fine. They probably wont be as active or eat as much, but should be fine :) -Seth

7C should be OK, axies are tolerant of cold temps as long as there are no wild fluctuations.
