How big before un-advisable to ship?

I would like some opinions on how big before you would not advise shipping an axolotl. I may have to ship some babies when spring hits, they wont be any bigger them 4" i am sure. But just in case it takes longer to find them homes.

They can be shipped at any size. But the longer you wait, the larger/heavier the box will be, and the higher the shipping cost. Also, they tend to outgrow/overcrowd their containers rapidly at the subadult stage, so you don't want to push that too far.
