Horny Newt?

I've had a FBN for 8 months now, I recently got a young newt and as soon as I put him in the tank she starting biting him and flapping her tail, haha. She recently came out of hibernation and is now shooting this white flimy stuff out of her whenever the other newt is nearby or when i feed them. Is she horny? Haha I haven't been able to find nay info on baby makin so I was just wondering if that's what shes got on her mind. Thanks!!

Are you sure she is a SHE? It would be helpful if you could tell exactly what species she is. See:

I'm sorry, I'm new to this, but I went on the link you posted and both of my newts are pachytriton labiatus (I have no clue how to say that so I just say Paddletail) From what I can tell SHE is not a SHE, it's a HE. Lol. Thanks so much for the info!

What you were seeing was most likely aggressive posturing, not sexual behavior. In answer to your question on your other thread, you cannot put them together, probably never. In case you haven't found this yet, here is some specific care information:
