Is This Normal??

Hey guys

I have a tiger salamander and he seems to be hinding in his cave ALL the time my room isn't too hot and i spray the tank with water nearly evey day the tank is 2 foot long and he seems fine so i have no idea why he hinds all the time i know it seems like a stupid thing to say but if anyone has any ideas or help it would be great!!! =]

Tiger salamanders are borrowers, it´s their life style. In fact if the salamander doesn´t borrow you can assume there might be something wrong.

He does borrow alot, well there are alot of holes in the soil. he must come out a night though, i never see him during the day!?

i know they are nocturnal, its just when i first got him he always used to come out during the day!?
