hey everyone
Im currently studying zoology and genetics, anyway my lab has two axes in it and to our surprise they did the dirty and left us about 200 eggs. i have offered to take some eggs of the universities hands but i have little experience in looking after baby axes. They are 6 days old so i have a little bit to of time before they will hatch. ive been doing alot of reading and have food on its way for them my biggest concern is that because they were a surprise i dont have a tank set up for these guys. how are they going to go being in uncycled water??..
any advice for me on how to prepare for these guys would be helpful thanks

jenna

My axolotl larvae are never raised in cycled water since I use plastic rubbermaid shoe box containers so I need to do a 100% water change everday. As long as you are diligent about the water changes you shouldn't have any issues. Once they get close to becoming juveniles then you'll need to have a cycled tank setup for them.
