hi i am new to all this, now my sons mexican walkingfish had babies...they are nearly two weeks old.when can i put more water in with them.i have about 4 maybe 5 cm of water in with the babies now..your help would be appreciated...thanx:confused:

axolotls will grow at different rates and will need seperating according to size as you may start to find some with legs or gills missing, as they start to grow and actively hunt for food separate them into smaller sized groups of the same sized individuals and increase the depth. There is also a different section for axies.

The water level is mainly for when they first feed, so their first live foods are within reach. As long as you're waterchanging daily, depending on what you feed - ie brineshrimp. You can actually raise the level of the water. What size container/tank are you using and how many do you have?

Any that may start floating constantly or have problems flipping upside down should be separated into containers of lowered water so they don't get so stressed when it comes to eating/floating.

hi thanx for your help guys...the tank is only small prob about 40cm long.there is about 30 babies.
