Hi,
I have two axies that I have had since August and they were about 3-4 months old when I got them and the female one is laying her first batch of eggs!
Came as a total shock, I can see a jelly thing in there now which I guess is the spermaphore, do I need to remove this? It's too late to do more damage I guess...
Anyway I don't know what to do. I have a small tank about 30x20cm that I could move them into, and all the eggs are attached onto a plant so I could move them.
But are they too young to have eggs? Should I just leave them in there? It breaks my heart to kill them. I can't keep them but perhaps I should try and raise them and then give them away once they're bigger?
Please help.
