We recently got two chinese fire belly newts about maybe 2 weeks ago. Just today right now we noticed that the smaller efts bottom left foot is gone and it's been dragging it's leg around. The smaller one hasn't been eating that much either. We have no clue what happened from either maybe the bigger one attacking it or maybe one of our fake plants got caught on it, but right now we're just gonna put the smaller one into a seperate tank to try and let it's leg heal and feed it food alone. Is there anything else we could do?
Please atleast tell us something we could do to help it heal and get it eating more, we don't want to loose it.

Welcome to the site. :)
To be able to offer any worthwhile advice we really need to see a decent picture of the leg and the newts set up. Did they come from a breeder or a petstore?
Here are some articles that might help, but to be any more specific I need more details to go on.
Also, could you please fill out the nationality info on your profile?
