Help skinny firebelly!...

hey all, I have a couple firebelly newts and one of them is really skinny and wont eat! I seperated it from the rest and put melafix in it's water, It look ALOT better than it did I mean those little bumps and sores are all healed up but I still cant get it to eat! I believe it has a bacterial infection. I brought it home like that but it was eating and just thought it was under nourished but then it started to get those lil' bumps on its skin, poor dear, I'm trying everything I know how but I think I'm fighting a losing battle. Any thoughts? I really need some advice. PLEASE...

anyone? anyways, It finally started eating but different food than the rest! It likes finely chopped silversides. but it still looks a little ratty though. any advice?

Hi Jeffrey, you must be doing something right if the newt is feeding again. Generally sick newts wont look at food so maybe he's on the mend. Keep him quarantined somewhere quiet and cool until he looks fully recovered and don't overfeed him. Good Luck! Mark
