Help. Need red-spotted newt

If anyone knows where to find a red-spotted newt (eft or adult) please tell me. I have plenty of places near my house where I can look and it's legal to catch and keep in New York state.

I'll tell you what most people in the field will tell you. You've gotta do the legwork. If you really want one, and you know of possible habitat, you'll have to go out and get your own.

Most people discourage from wild-collection. You need to be responsible and take one or two, not a whole breeding population.

If you don't own any, then I assume you got the picture of the Eft somewhere else. If the picture belongs to someone else, you need specific permission to use it here.
