Help! murky water?

Hello everyone!
Could someone please tell me why my tank is murky?
I did a water change about a week ago, 1/3 of the tank as directed by specialist, I put the right conditioners & everything in, let it cycle through the filter for half an hour before putting my frank back in, yet it seems to be murky?
I had a new addition join the tank today! Another axololt named Rafiki, & I also washed the filter sponge today as directed.
I hope this is enough information to help me!
Is there anything I can do ?

Is this a newly set up aquarium? What are the water parameters - ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, PH? What is the substrate? Is the substrate new? Are you using tap water? How did you clean the filter?

I've had the aquarium since the 24th of December last year, all the pH & everything is fine, the substrate is the same as the first day I put it in(24th dec) I used tap water but put the tap water condition & aquarium supplement in it & let it cycle for 30 minutes, & I ran the filter sponge under the tap

Am I doing something wrong? First time owner here & want to give them the best care I can!

Clean the filter in dechlorinated water as the chemicals in tap water will likely kill off the beneficial bacteria on the filter by rinsing the filter in straight tap water and may crash your cycle. What are the actual readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? Could there be some food or something rotting in the water that may have been missed in cleaning?
