HELP ME !!!!

My CFB shedded a little piece of skin and it got stuck around him abdomen. I know this is a sign of illness but how can i make him better? He is about 5 months after morphing. An inch and a half long. Please help me! I am going to put in in his own container for tonight.

Don't freak out, the skin sometimes is tricky for young newts, but they can do amazing tricks to get it off. He should have plces to use to rub it off, rocks, gravel, plastic plants and soforth. Also, mine all do better shedding in water that is kinds shallow.

If you are really worried and he is somehow having issues moving or acting strange, make sure the newt isn't going to be someplace were he needs surfaces to rub offf his skin, a platic tub isn't going to help. I bet though by this time he probably got rid of the skin and is going to be fine.
