I've had my salamander for just under a year now. I've moved into an apartment and he's stopped eating. I realize they need time to settle once you move them but it's been almost 2 months now since the move. He's been grown up on earthworms and I created a worm farm for his food source. However the worms didn't like the move either and started to die. I bought some meal worms from the pet store to supplement his diet until I could fix the earthworms but he has no interest in them. I've since gotten new, healthy earthworms but he doesn't want to eat those either. He'll snap at them but it's more to get it away from him than to try to eat it, since I've gotten so desperate for him to eat I kind of drape the worm on his nose. Every once and a while he'll grab it (possibly by accident) and then try to tug at it like he doesn't really want to eat it but he'll swallow what he has in his mouth. It's definitely not the same behavior he used to show when he was actually trying to eat and swallow his food. That's happened only twice since I've moved into this apartment (and I'm worried that it might be the only reason he hasn't starved to death yet). It's hotter and stuffier in here than he is used to and I know that can affect him but I keep his moss moist and his water dish filled with nice cold water. I really don't know what to do. He doesn't seem sick. He moves around normally, there isn't anything visually wrong with him. Please help!
