sorry its not about newts , but it is amphibian disease and nobody answers in frog pages i cant stop this sore spreading on my goliath frog

have you tried anything?, how damp is he being kept? you could try a topical antibiotic..try these links

im treating him with myxazin(BSB) solution , and a very weak iodine solution, and he's totally aquatic , thanks for the links they help loads!

You have a Goliath Frog, Conraua goliath? If you don't mind my asking, how on earth did you manage to get one of those?

Have you considered trying silver sulfadiazine cream?

yes i have the real goliath frog ! i know many people dont approve of wild caught herps, but they appeared in a shop i use as "pixie frogs" wild caught from cameroon ,when i looked they were definately goliaths! , and it is cherished , if i hadn't taken it it would have certainly ended up in the hands of an amature,i think it was a lesser of two evils me taking it , i have a feeling this frog probably came from a food market in the cameroon where often up to 70 frogs can be seen as live food!
