If I were thirty years younger, I'd apply for this myself:
Oglebay's Good Zoo is currently inviting applications for 2 eastern hellbender field research internship positions for the summer of 2005. Researchers will assist in monitoring and collecting data on eastern hellbenders (Cryptobranchus alleganiensis alleganiensis) in local streams in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. Researchers will be required to spend a minimum of 320 hours assisting with a variety of duties including data collection in the field, data analysis, report preparation, and public education. College juniors, seniors, or graduate students majoring in Biology, Ecology, Wildlife and Fisheries Management, or Zoology are encouraged to apply. Experience with radio telemetry, PIT tags, and GPS is preferred but not necessary. This is an unpaid internship. However, free summer housing and utilities excluding phone will be available to the chosen applicants. For more information on how to apply, please contact Joe Greathouse, Curator of Animals, at (304) 243-4029 or by e-mail at jgreathouse@oglebay-resort.com.
