Hello!
I raised a pair of axolotls for a teacher as a class pet, and I got to take them home for the summer since I know more about axolotl care than her, haha. Anyways, their tank at school is too unwieldy to transport to my home, and so I bought a "HDX 27 Gallon Tough Tote" as a summer home for the pair. I know people usually use Rubbermaid, but the price on the HDX seemed almost too good to be true, and I think I may end up paying for the price.
The bin is filled approximately 2-3 inches from the top, and it is bowing a lot...so my question is, do you think the problem is that the tank is filled too much or could is possibly be the quality of the brand? HDX seems like sort of a generic brand or something. I just don't want the tank to end up splitting all over carpeting and for the poor guys and fish to go everywhere.
Thanks!
