My axies eggs are nearly 3weeks old, and I keep thinking that they will hatch any day now, but they haven't! Most seem to be developed...I was wondering if I move them to a warmer environment now will that encourage them to hatch? It is relatively cold and their water temp is very low.

Any help would be great Im just bursting to see my new wee guys out of their eggs!!!

3 weeks is a long time. Mostly they hatch after 2 weeks (~ 20 C). How cold is your water? The colder the water is, the more time they need for developing.
So, I would move them into a warmer nearly 20 C environment.

I had some this spring take over 3 weeks, it was almost definately due to the water temps as it was rather cold.

I agree with callina.

They'll be out in no time, Good luck!!

oh, I´m wondering, that you still have so much eggs in the tank.
3 days ago Elanor, one of my female, laid eggs, too. Yesterday there have been only a few eggs in the tank and today I can only see 2. All the others were eating by my axies. :D

Congratulation for your first hatchling!:D

well my axie just worked out to eat them tonight! Took her 3 weeks but tonight they are nearly all gone!!!
