Hatching BBS (baby brine shrimp)

All of the tutorials I've seen had said to use a 2L bottle (like a Pepsi bottle or something). I'm wondering if I could use a mason jar equivalent to hatch my brine shrimp. I just prefer glass. They come in 2L, half gallon, and gallon sizes for their larger sizes...

The shape of the 2 liter bottle helps get proper circulation. Most commercial artemia hatcheries are cone shaped or tapered. A mason jar might work if you don't have dead circulation areas where cysts stay. To much air and the cysts pulverize.

I did mine in a small bucket with an airstone, seemed to work out just fine.

2 teaspoon of salt and a airstone and have a play around which suits your needs good luck and have fun learning the arts of bbs hatching
