Hi
I have some eggs in a tank, and today one hatched, but it was not the one I expected to hatch first. I do not think it is fully developed. I have looked at other peoples pictures of just-hatched axolotls and they all seem to have longer gills and are larger and have more visible eyes and things. It is about 10mm long.
If it has hatched early, is there anything I can do or will it just die? At the moment it moves occasionally, and if I move the container slightly it darts around.
By the way, one other hatched later today, and although it has spots, which may cloud my judgement (the one I am worried about is white), it looks more developed.
I tried to get some pictures, but it is so small and my camera isn't very good, sorry.
Thanks
P.S. Four of the other eggs didn't develop and had this foggy substance in them and so I got rid of them.
