Illness/Sickness: Hard bump on tail

Hi guys,

i recently dicsovered a bump, quite big , over at my paddletail newt's tail.

here are some pics from the top..

did not take pictures from the side cause it looks flat from the side (color of bump same as the skin)

anyone knows whats going on here? kinda worried . really worried.

It could just be a bump where the newt has banged the tail or damaged it; keep an eye on it for the next few days.

I wouldn't take my word for it; I'd wait for someone more experienced to reply.

its been almost a week now. it is still eating well etc. the bump is still there. its not getting any better or worse. it stays the same so far. hmm.

I have a Taricha torosa with exactly the same bump on its tale, its been there for years and has not changed, it doesn't affect the newt and its now just a easier way of identifying him from the others ! So if its been there for a while and hasn't got any bigger and the little creature is in good health otherwise DONT WORRY !
