I was at the Hamm show last weekend and quie a lot of caudates were up for sale, the only problem was the temperature must of been in the 80's inside the building and most if not all of the caudates looked stressed, i even saw dead verrucosus at one table. So if your local dealer has suddenly acquired loads of new specimens i would give it a couple of weeks before rushing to buy them as they may yet develop sores or die from the stress. The stupid thing is all they needed was to put a list of animals on the table and keep them in cool boxes.

Hamm - money rules?

oh,,,,

I am expecting a hongkongensis pair from dartfrog from hamm within the hour, I hope they're ok...

I suppose if any can tolerate the temp, its them..

They just got here, they are truely the most amazing creatures I have ever seen, they are amazing...

oh how happy I am today

They seem really healthy so far,,

i think Mark at dartfrog gets in early and therefor his animals won't of been subjected to a full day in the high temps.

One of the guys at the animal expo I go to uses a styrofoam box filled with ice, and has a shallow, glass-topped tank that he sets inside it, so that the newts stay cool, but collectors can still view them.
