Am finally going to invest in a chiller, wish I had done it months ago but being a poor student means I am always strapped for cash! :( A fan has been sustaining my tank temp which has been okay, but definitely not ideal.

I have noticed that a lot of people on the forums here seem to have the Hailea 150A chillers. I am looking at this but am thinking it might not be able to get my tanks roughly 350 litre (90 gal) capacity down to the lower temps best for my axies.
The next size up will set me back another $135 which isn't really a great option for me.

Does anyone use the 150A on tanks above 300 litres? What is your tank capacity and what temp is your chiller set at?
I'm thinking I can always lower the water level and maybe go for a riparium type setup if need be...

Oh, and i didnt answer your questions

My tank holds 350 ltr, i set it for 20 c in the summer and 18 c in the winter.

Setting it higher in the summer reduces the amount of condensation i have found.

Thanks for that. I was concerned because I had seen the particulars in this image previously. It's good to know that someone else uses it on a larger tank with success :D

Oh, and can I ask what flow rate you're using?

Another question: what size hose fits on the chiller? My canister uses a rather large thick hose which I think will be too big so am thinking I might a power head with a smaller hose...

I bought the up to 300L for my 280L tank and after 2 years it blew up. I am now getting an up to 400L to cope because our water in Brissy has been sitting at such a high temp.
