I may be getting a yellow or blue spotted Sal ... However even after reading the tiger sal caresheet I can't seem to find out many sq inches of floor space they should have, let alone habitat debt ...

I love Blue Spotted Salamanders, I had three of them (All at different times) I would say a 10 gallon is big enough for one or a pair. I'm sure someone will tell me off though.

There are so many options for a habitat and I am use to measuring sq inches of floor space for custom hamster cages so I would like to know what measurements I should be looking for.

Here you go, I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for, but it's the measurements of a 10 gallon: 20" long x 10" wide x 12" tall

Oh I know that lol Aqadvisor has all that but if I were to look into an alternate container should I be looking for those same measurements? and what about container depth? Does it HAVE to be 12 inches deep.

As stated in this caresheet (Caudata Culture Articles - Tiger Salamander 101) - surface area is more important than height. You can use plastic storage bins, sweater bins, etc. with many small holes punched into the lid for ventilation. The lid needs to be tight fitting and the substrate depth at 3-4" with a hide/water dish. So for example, a height of 8" would be ok.

I read that care sheet ... I saw substrate depth and that they need floorspace ... I did not see information answering my specific questions and I did not want to assume.
