Here are some shots from Gyrinopylus that were recently imported into Belgium. Hope you like the shots. THe females were recognisable by having a lighter coloration and showing signs of eggs in the belly. Overall the animals are quite bulky and so nice to photograph. hope you may enjoy the shots ... I sure adored making them.
 
let me know if you have any insight in getting them to breed- mine are about 2 years in captivity and i can see plenty of eggs too -just not sure how to get them in the mood.
 
Hai Paris, actually I don't have them under my care, I just took some shots ... I have already been seeing them in the wild and now findig them overhere was something I just couldn't let go. The shopowner offered me 10 to take along to Gersfeld where the met with mixed success...

    Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
