I bought a 4" long Axolotl yesterday. He's a leucistic, very healthy looking, with ALL limbs intact [I was shocked...bought him at a pet store]. $15.
I've been hand-feeding him bloodworms and one earthworm-- I nudge them against his nose lightly and he vacuums them right up! He seems to be pretty sweet, hasn't tried to bite me at all.

Beautiful axie, he looks healthy.

Not to be a downer, but as he grows those lovely pebbles you have may get eaten and could kill him. They might look too big, but axies can eat anything smaller than their heads. It would be a better idea to have sand rather than pebbles. Easier to clean too ;)

not to mention the same size as their heads.
He'll bite your finger if you wiggle them - it's an extremely weird sensation.

I already plan on taking them out, he doesn't seem to like them much anyway. C: Thanks for the advice though!

You're welcome. An axie finger nibble is always a good experiance for an axie parent!
