Gravid already?

I have four N.v.l.'s (central newt), a subspecies of the eastern newt and three are more fat near the back legs/cloaca region part of the belly. Would they start producing eggs already? They do not float at the surface so I dont think it is a bloat.

I am wondering what it is if they arent gravid. I dont think it is a bloat

Maybe they're just fat.
