Alright so ive gotta go on vaccation for a while & just to make it easier on my animal sitter im going to put freckles & taco both into my 20 gal tank.. Right now ive just got decorations & fish in there, I'm going to move them all, ect ect.. but I was wondering, what are some good hiding places? ive heard of flower pots & tubes & stuff so imma pick some up 2morrow but what are some other good ones? :) All suggestions are welcome!

Mine have 2 main hides, an old urn type terrocotta pot (which they used to fight over) and now a vase that gives a big space to hide in, covered all around bar 1 entrance, similar to a cave :)

I get PVC piping from the hardware store.
Just make sure it's the PVC used for water, not waste drains.

I just give them a good scrub. They are cheap, depending on size it's $3-$15 for a nice large hide. And you can cover them in sealant and roll them in sand to make them a little flashier... or you use a dremel on them and make them "natural" shaped first so you end up with a log looking end product.
I think there is a thread in the enclosure section about usuing a torch and dremel and it comes out looking like a log.

cups, plastic pots cut in half with rocks on top to prevent them floating away, pots with holes in, tunnel thingies for reptiles, mugs, log hides....:D

Hey there. I have often used terracotta pots bought from garden centres. They have worked really well. They are cheap to buy, come in all shapes and sizes and you can even break them up to suit your own needs. I have got loads of cool photos of my guys playing/hanging out in these pots.
