Good stores in Germany

Hey, I'm visiting Germany, and I wanted to know where the good fish/amphibian stores are. I'm in Jena, which is near Weimar, in the old east part. I can travel around a bit, so if there are any really super stores way on the other side of the country, I might still go to see them...

Er, you plan on bringing animals home? You realize that you cant do this without a variety of permits, right?

No, I probably wouldn't try to bring any animals home. I just want to see what the German stores have to offer. If there are really good products here, I might buy some of them, though.

Products?

Hi,

It isn't a store but I would like to recommend you to visit the vivarium in the zoo in Chemnitz, there you can see a lot of amphibians

Oh, that's exciting that there's a good vivarium in Chemnitz. I was planning on seeing the city anyway. Is it expensive for admission into the zoo?

Hi Rose,

no, the price is OK, you simply need the entrance for the Zoo

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
