There is this pond that has a BIG willow tree and under it is a pond, and to the right is another pond, and to the left is another one, and all of this is connected with land and logs, and it is very muddy. Is this a good place to look?

There is only one way to find out, start flipping logs.;)

It is hot and windy, so should I go look right now, or wait? And do you think salamanders use this pond for breeding?

I would wait until darkness falls and/or a good rainstorm hits. Just remember, the cooler the weather, the better your chances of finding some are.

They only salamanders that would probably use the pond are various Ambystoma sp. and Notophthalmus sp. (if they are native there).

Ok thanks, I have Blue Spotted and Tiger Salamanders so theis should be easy, and it's going to rain soon so thats good

Good luck! Let us know how the hunt turns out.
